The village is located in the heart of the Welsh language speaking area, so you’ll hear many locals speaking Welsh if you take a holiday rental here.

Abersoch is the kind of place that brings visitors back year after year, and not just in the summer time. Visitors also come here during the winter “out of season” months, looking to enjoy the wonderful scenery and wildlife and even to take advantage of the many sheltered sun traps on the beach – it has been known to see sunbathers on Abersoch Beach well into the winter! The village café and most of the shops stay open year-round, so there’s always a place to grab a bite to eat and to enjoy some retail therapy, whatever time of year you visit.

Activities in Abersoch also go on throughout the year. During the summer months, Abersoch hosts an annual wakeboarding and music festival - Wakestock – and there are a huge number of sailing events that take place here, including the busy Abersoch Regatta. During the autumn and winter, Abersoch still has plenty on, with the yearly West Coast Surf contenst that takes place in October, and the ever-popular RNLI New Year’s Day Dip on the 1st January.

There are also a lot of choices when it comes to places to stay in Abersoch. Holiday rental options include local hotels and bed and breakfasts, and a wide choice of self-catering accommodation, so there’s sure to be something to suit all tastes and budgets in this lovely village. Wherever you choose, you’re sure of a warm welcome and a taste of seaside village life that will leave you wanting more.
